Most sourcing disputes trace back to a check that was skipped at the start.
1. Trade licence. Ask for the current licence and confirm the activity actually covers what they are selling you. A licence for general trading does not mean the company manufactures.
2. VAT certificate. A registered business in the UAE has a TRN. Cross-check it against the invoice they issue.
3. Bank letterhead. Payment details should arrive on company letterhead, not in a chat message. Account-name mismatches are the single most common fraud signal.
4. See the premises. A short onsite inspection costs far less than a wrong container. On bee2bee.ae you can book this through Products Inspection.
Suppliers who carry the verified badge have already passed the first three.
